Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game

The problem

The Combat Control screen in the Mac version of Fallout 2 does not work properly. See a screenshot depicting the problem.

The fix

1. Download the file named control.sit by following this link (file provided by Ximenez; see ”The source“).
2. Unpack the SIT file. A file named control.frm should emerge from the package.
3. Copy this file to the “~/Library/Application Support/Fallout2/DATA/art/intrface/” folder on your Mac.
• important: Make sure not to copy the file into the “Library” folder tree in your root directory (called “Macintosh HD” by default). The “~” symbol indicates your home directory, so if the name of your home directory is for example “Bob”, the location to copy the file to is “Bob/Library/Application Support/Fallout2/DATA/art/intrface/.
• If the “art” and/or “intrface” directories do not exist, create them.
